Durham’s first Black physician and co-founder of NC Mutual, Dr. Moore also helped establish the Durham Colored Library (now Stanford L. Warren Library) and Lincoln Hospital. He anchored trust and leadership in Durham’s Black institutions, advancing both health and education.
